Grad Show

I haven't really posted much of my work online, or anything about my grad show for some reason. I graduated in 2015 from BA (hons) Photography at The Arts University Bournemouth and we held our grad show in T1 at Free Range in The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.

The whole third year of university was a build up to this one week of showcasing our work. We knew it was going to be expensive, and we had to fund raise A LOT, some people worked extremely hard and they did such a great job raising money for the whole team.

My work was very different to most people's on my course. I like aesthetically pleasing art that is full of life and colour, most other works were very fine art like and concept based. In all honesty, I didn't like the exhibition space when we had set everything up because I like sleek, clean finishes, compared to the warehouse type space we had our work in. I think for some people's work, the space looked great, but for mine not so much.

Throughout my time at uni I faced a lot of adversity in regards to my work. I tried hard to make something somebody respected, but I just couldn't seem to make it work. I was so down on myself the whole time I was there, I am very glad to be done with that part of my life. I did make some great pieces there though, and I learnt a handful of skills that will hopefully benefit me one day.

Here are the images I exhibited in the gallery, they are a culmination of images I shot at London Fashion Week.

I will hopefully post some more about my art and photography as I get back into the swing of things this year!
